The latest collection from Louis Vuitton is pure femininity. The models posed on a completely white carousel runway, which took all the viewers to a another world. Marc Jacobs has truly outdone himself, with the fabulously flowy and feminine textures, the original yet classic patterns, and the sensational silhouettes made for a one-of-a-kind collection. I adore this little peach dress. Seeing it immediately made me think of old-fashioned summer afternoons, when the upper class rich folk would while away their time sitting on the front porch drinking lemonade and discussing the latest local gossip. The elegance this simple ensemble has is truly remarkable considering that it is really a classic design that could read boring.
I simply had to analyze this dress because I loves its shape. I really want to put it on and wear it all the time, because it looks like it would be so comfortable yet magical, and I could feel like a princess from a far-away kingdom! Really though, this dress is incredibly wearable and sellable while still being in the highest of high fashion, and I love the shoes as well.
This is, at first glance, a simple dress; yet the detailing, especially around the collar, is absolutely divine. This is one of those outfits that takes your breath away, yet is perfect to wear to work at the same time. Jacobs has done an excellent job, with this dress and his entire Spring 2012 collection, of making wearable yet fantastical clothes. I also love the shoes and the tiara!
I am completely, head-over-heels in love with this entire outfit. I think that the color palate is an amazing, and very happy (appropriate for spring, don't you think?). I cannot even express how in love I am with the 3-D flowers covering the skirt. How fabulous are those? All in all, I am at a complete loss for how to describe how much I love this outfit from head-to-toe. Just gorgeous.
This is another ensemble that makes me at a loss for words. The colors are, again, AMAZING, and (be warned, I will repeat myself a lot) the 3-D flowers are just...genius!!! I love this dress's shape, and the fantasy that one gets while looking at it. Completely feminine and totally fabulous!!
Again with the 3-D flowers! I apologize greatly for sounding like a broken record, but I cannot get over how great that flower detailing looks. It's magic, really it is. This is such a perfect outfit for any woman to wear for numerous occasions, ranging as far as the workplace to a fancy luncheon. Love it, love it, love it!
This gown-like cocktail dress is a fairy-tale fantasy in fabric. The colors and their placement was done with the eye of a master, and again, this outfit is simple yet incredibly elegant! The flower detailing mixed with the feather detailing has the danger of looking too overdone and overworked, but since Marc Jacobs is a complete genius as chicness, this outfit looks as easy and breezy as a Covergirl model (by the way, Covergirl is one of my all-time my FAV-orite make-up brands). I also adore the tiara!
I decided to complete my analysis with the collection's closing look, this little adorable dress that could easily be worn by women of all ages and sizes. I love how Jacobs played with volume here to make it fun, yet also kept a conservative vibe to keep regal-ness and elegance going throughout the look. Simple, feminine, and an utter show-stopper, this look (and its collection) will be remembered for a long, long time. (I also love the shoes!)

Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 Collection
The Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 Collection epitomizes a chic, sophisticated style that could fit flawlessly into any woman's wardobe. I personally loved the mix of masculinity and femininity which made the clothes edgy, interesting, and beautiful. Pictures supplied by Vogue.com - visit for full collection
I love this look; I think it's sophisticated without being matronly, and understated without being drab. The dark panels on the sides emphasize the model's waist, which gives her a more womanly shape and figure. I think this is a look that any woman would look gorgeous in, no matter what size she is!
This look is casual yet completely original. This is a perfect blend of patterns and fabrics to create a unique look that is perfect for day-wear as well as going out to company parties. Totally fabulous.
This is a GOR-geous dress! The color is stunning and eye-catching without being obnoxious or in your face. The cut would be flattering to any woman's figure. I personally adore the little touch of zebra print along the skirt, as I feel it adds a touch of fun and mischief to this sophisticated ensemble. Also (need I say it?) I am in LOVE with the shoes!
I'm going to be honest with you: I am not a huge fan of animal prints, especially snake skin. No particular reason (unless it's real fur, which I am opposed to), I just don't like them generally. Then I came across this outfit, and I could finally see why people find snake skin so attractive! I love the top's shape with the sleeves, the vibrant color of the skirt, and the wickedly fabulous pair of heels. But I also love this snake skin pattern! The detailing of it takes this outfit to the next level, and adds a new amount of sophistication and originality to it that makes this ensemble completely unique.
This jacket dress is the very definition of sophistication and chicness wrapped up into one. The color is happy and pleasing to the eye, and makes this outfit versatile enough to wear during the work day or at the night-time work party. I love its shape and it length, and how it gives off an aura of classic style that is always so attractive.
I don't think I can express in words how much I love this dress. It's colors are perfect for spring, the shape is perfect for any woman's body, and the shoes are just...well...PERFECT! I love this dress and would completely wear it whenever I wanted to look grown-up and sophisticated, but also whenever I wanted to express my joy and love of clothes.
I think this is a beautifully constructed masterpiece. The plunging neckline is understated sexy, and the combination of colors, which, let's be honest, could have read Halloween, is done with a grace that shows the masterful eye of Proenza Schouler. I love the shape of this dress as well as the fabulous shoes to accompany it.
I finish off my analysis with the penultimate dress to strut down the runway. This dress combines sexy with simple and combines them well. The silhouette is classic and chic, and allows the eye to enjoy the beautiful fabric and masterful styling and not feel overwhelmed. The gloves are just fabulous, the shoes are (yet again) gorgeous, and I think this dress is a perfect compliment to any classic, chic, and sophisticated woman's wardrobe.

Prada Resort 2012
The Prada brand is known for having clothes that are gorgeous, beautifully made, and extremely sophisticated. The Prada Resort 2012 collection is no exception. Fabulous, colorful dresses and fun, flirty bags make this a perfect collection for spring attire. Pictures supplied by Vogue.com - visit for full collection
There aren't many dresses that still look fabulous when the wearer is sitting down. However, this piece still reatins its classy beauty while the model sits. The beltis what really caught my eye; I'm a true believer that bows don't have to be worn solely by little girls. The bag, also, like many others in this collection, is a work of art that can be used by women of any age.
This outfit as a whole grabbed my attention and simply wouldn't let go. The dress is simple and sophisticated, yet when its combined with the accessories, the dress takes on a whole new drama that is absolutely beautiful to look at. It makes me think of the 40's, because of its' style. Plus, I adore the bag.
I really enjoy the youthful feeling that this outfit has, and I think that the combination of the colors contirbutes to that. You might not think that a yellow cardigan would work with a coral/salmon-colored skirt, yet I feel that it does here. Also, let us not forget the bright orange sweater which is slightly hidden away yet just visible enough to capture and hold our interest. Finished off with a beautiful green and beige bag and a fabulous pair of silver heels, this outfit simply screams "Spring".
This entire outfit is fabulus, don't get me wrong, but I really felt that I must include here in my analysis simply because of the large pink and beige tote on the floor next to the silver heels. I am a pink fan, and this is a bag that I would buy. It's perfect for any casual occasion, from a nice lunch out with friends to a day at the beach and anything in between! The red clutch in the model's lap is also beautiful, and I can completely see any multitude of women using that on a fancy evening out.
This dress took my breath away. It's a perfect blend of high fashion and casual beauty. It's slinky style makes it perfect for any occasion, from something informal with friends to a late-night party at the office. The pattern is also genius, and I think any woman could look fabulous in this dress. Beautiful.
Almost gothic in its black-lace style, this gown is one-of-a-kind. I love the way it drapes over the model's legs, and I feel that this dress would compliment any woman's body. The casual draped-over cardigan makes it clear that although this is a rather fancy dress, it's one of those unique pieces that can be worn alone to a formal occasion, or with some simple accessories to something more casual and the wearer would always fit in.
For my final analysis, I chose to discuss this ensemble. I love this dress. It's so simple in style yet so unique at the same time, and that's difficult to achieve successfully. I always love a scoopneck, and this dress has a beautiful one. The floral pattern is very flattering and perfect for spring. This dress is perfection, and the accessories merely add to that. The hat is simple and chic, and that scarf really compliments the model's neck. I love the sophisticated bag, and I will always be a fan of strappy black heels - they will NEVER go out of style!

Michael Kors Resort 2012
Seeing the new collection from Michael Kors, I felt that I was being taken to a parallel universe filled with tall, glamorous spies in colorful clothing. Having each model's hair in a tight bun was genius, as it allowed the eyes to focus on the clothing alone. A fabulous collection from a genius designer. Pictures supplied by Vogue.com - visit for full collection
This simplistic yet bold look immediately caught my attention. Simple in design yet dramatic in color makes it a one-of-a-kind ensemble. I love the length, which shows off the model's gorgeous legs, and I think that the accessories compliment it beautifully without distracting from it.
Even though this is a bathing suit, the extraordinary belt keeps it cohesive with the espionage-type look of the whole collection. On its own, the suit is still fabulous; bright in color, yet subtle in design. I enjoy how Kors gave this suit shape with the small cutouts on the waist as well.
This dress is totally spy-esque. I obviously love the color, since I am a lover of pink in any form, and the style of the dress is very flattering. The belt works just as well on this dress as it does on the bathing suit; it looks neither out of place or unnoticeable. The sandals are adorable and perfect for summer.
I don't think I am capable of expressing in words how much I adore this jacket. However, I'm going to try! Giving a gorgeous shape to the model while still retaining a feeling of sophistication, this jacket is one in a million. I also love how well matched the shoes and sunglasses are, because they perfectly compliment the look.
This entire outfit captured me completely when I first laid eyes on it. I know people may argue that it's too simple to be considered anything special; I disagree. I love its simplicity, and I feel that the fact that it is so simple is what allows the ensemble to be elegant. Gorgeous in color and shape, I love this look.
This bathing suit is elegance in fabric. I love its shape, and the way that the black and gold work together is simply magic. I feel that any woman can look good in this suit, as the waist is synched in, creating a more feminine shape very naturally. Oh, it's just so beautiful!
This gown is sophistication and elegance - with a twist. The fabric is tucked in such a way that it shows off the model's leg without being trashy. I love the belt, because it looks tough and feminine at the same time. The cutouts on the waist make the model look extremely shapely and beautiful, and the bracelets do a great job of tying the whole look together.
To complete my analysis of this collection, I will discuss this fabulous pink gown. Reminding me of something Princess Lea might wear when she goes out, this gown is definitely eye-catching in the best possible way. Having the arms covered and the leg exposed makes it so incredibly classy. The best feature is probably the belt, since it adds a gorgeous shape to this dress. Impeccably made and fabulously fitted, the dress is worthy as a finale to a truly wonderful collection.

2011 Met Gala
One of the biggest events of this year was the unveiling of the latest exhibition "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" at the Costume Institute Gala at the Met. Well, here's my analysis of some of the best-dressed, super classy women who attended the event. Pictures supplied by Vogue.com - visit for full set of photos
Actress and former model Diane Kruger looked stunning and classic in this Jason Wu gown. This gown shows off Diane's womanly shape and her gorgeous legs. A perfect outfit to wear to a fancy event like this at the Met Gala.
Brazilian model Caroline Trentini looked stunning in this gown by Michael Kors. The long train is dramatic and sophisticated, and the fact that it's strapless makes it perfect for Caroline, because it shows off her gorgeously shaped shoulders.
Madonna looked fabulous in this blue satin Stella McCartney gown. Its shape emphasized Madonna's body in the perfect way. The color is beautiful, and I also love the gold designs and detailing on the train and topper half of the dress.
Actress Zoë Saldana looked stunning in her yellow design from the Calvin Klein Collection. Simple, chic, and fabulous, this gown emphasizes her gorgeous skin tone and body shape. Perfect for this classy, sophisticated event.
Actress Emma Stone looked so perfect in her Lanvin design. This gown is something that I honestly wish I could own. It's fantastic. The flowers are delicate and feminine yet edgy as well. I love the colors and the shape of the gown. It's so dramatic and I think it looks fabulous on Emma.
Model/musician Karen Elson looked stunning in this Alexander McQueen design. I think that this dress is sophisticated and chic. I love its shimmery texture and shape. The sleeves are delicate and feminine, and the shape of the top would make any woman look like a supermodel.
I love this simplistic gown from the Calvin Klein Collection worn by Lara Stone. I think it's sophisticated and chic. The color is bright and happy without taking away from the drama of the dress. It emphasizes Lara's womanly shape, and it would do the same for any woman.
Gosh, this gown in heavenly! Actress Renée Zellweger looked stunning in this Carolina Herrera ensemble. Her back looks gorgeous, and I love the train. The detailing on the back and the sleeves add an elegant touch to this princess-like dress.
This Alexander McQueen gown looks gorgeous on actress Salma Hayek. I love its color and shape. I also love the decorative fabric rose on the hip of the dress. This is just a fabulous gown that is perfection in fabric itself.
Actress/singer Gwyneth Paltrow looks stunning in this Stella McCartney gown. The fact that the legs are so visible through the slit but then the arms are covered up makes the dress sophisticated because it's not too revealing. That being said, the legs look gorgeous. I have to say that I love the shoes as well.
This Marchesa design looks gorgeous on model Miranda Kerr. Ballerina-esque in its design and quality, this dress is stunning. I love that it's strapless, and I love how well matched the shoes are to the dress as well, because the shoes are just fabulous.
World-class dermatologist and beauty expert Lisa Airan made a stunning and dramatic appearance in this Alexander McQueen gown at the event at the Met Gala. I thought this was the perfect dress to finish my analysis with, because it's so fabulous. The shape of the top half is so gorgeous and womanly, nd I love the see-through part of the skirt. The 3-D detailed flowers add drama. This dress is chic and fabulous.

The Royal Wedding (April 29, 2011)
I decided to deviate away from my normal regime, in which I analyze five to six pieces of a recent collection from a world-famous designer, in order to honor a very important event that occurred on April 29, 2011: the Royal Wedding of Prince William Arthur Philip Louis and commoner Kate Middleton, who is right now officially titled Princess Katharine. What a day it was! With the gathering of fans on every street to the pomp and ceremony throughout the wedding and events afterward, April 29, 2011 will go down in history.
Now, for anyone out there who can't recall what the faces of England's future King and Queen look like, here is a photo reminder of the happy couple:
http://www.style.com/stylefile/2010/12/the-high-street-princess/
They are certainly an attractive pair! The prince could not have chosen a more beautiful woman to be his wife. Kate's face is undeniably attractive, with her gorgeous eyes, stunning skin, and perfectly white and straight teeth. I also really love her thick, luscious brown hair that always seems to fall perfectly around her face.
Besides having a gorgeous face and hair, Kate has also won the beauty jackpot in her slim, well-proportioned figure. You could argue that Kate always looks good because she has stylists and always dresses so well; but while this is true, a lot of credit for her physical fabulousness can be attributed to her shapely waist, tiny hips, and overall feminine figure.
Now on to my favorite topic concerning the Royal Wedding: Kate's princess-like gown.
http://www.dailynewspaper.us/kate-middleton-wedding-dress-2-129285-123
This dress by Alexander McQueen designer Sara Burton is perfection in white. Speculation about Kate's dress has been going on for weeks, and I really feel that everyone was not disappointed. Stunning in its simplicity, this dress must have made Kate feel like the princess she was to become while wearing it. The lace overlay is the perfect cover-up for her arms, since that is the tradition for royal wedding dresses. The lace is fancy without being tacky or too showy. The perfectly fitted corset emphasizes and compliments Kate's naturally gorgeous figure, while the puffed-out look of the skirt adds magic without being over the top.
http://www.evilbeetgossip.com/2011/04/29/princess-weddings-through-the-years-kate-middleton-trumps-them-all/
I think everyone in the world is in agreement over the simple beauty of Kate's tiara. This tiara (not a crown, as it does not fully encircle her head) is understated yet perfect for a new princess. The veil, covering her face during her entrance to the abbey but then removed during most of the service, adds elegance to the overall look. The earrings are the perfect compliment for this wedding ensemble, and Kate's choice to keep the overall jewelry to a minimum kept the look very classic.
One of the most talked-about accessory Kate has been supporting since the announcement of the engagement is, obviously, the engagement ring.
http://www.glamour.com/weddings/blogs/save-the-date/1116-kate-middleton-engagement-ring-prince-william-princess-diana-close-up_we.jpg
The ring that Kate now wears as a wife has quite a history to it. The ring first belonged to William's mother, Princess Diana. Giving it to Kate was a sign of William's love for Kate as well as being a tribute to his late mother. The ring itself is a large blue stone, a sapphire, surrounded by tiny diamonds. I believe that this ring, which might look too flashy on anyone else, looks beautiful and elegant on the long, slender fingers of both Diana and Kate.
A very famous English fashion tradition that is known around the world is - dare I say it? - the hats. Every female guest of the wedding was required to wear a hat, and everyone used this opportunity to really show off their style!

Queen Elizabeth II showed up in a happy yellow ensemble, sporting a classic hat that was sophisticated and elegant and not over the top.

Tara Palmer Tompkinson (in blue) showed up a bright blue dress by Deborah Milner with matching shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood. Many websites are slamming this ensemble, saying it's too flashy. I disagree! Yes, the blue is bright; but she's attending a wedding! A happy occasion! I actually think she looks elegant in the fitted dress, and I love how well matched the shoes, the hat, the bag, and the gloves are to the dress. Plus, with understated earrings she doesn't look over the top. In my opinion: perfection!

How elegant can the Beckham couple get? David looks smart and polished in his suit, and his hair is slicked to perfection. Posh looks...well...posh! Her dress is flowy and chic, and her hat is unusual but perfect for her gorgeous face. The tight ponytail merely highlights the glorious hat without distracting from it; and her shoes, with their six-inch heel and super high platforms to match, complete this one-of-a-kind ensemble.
The newly named Princess herself has shown off her impeccable style with a few head adornments of her own. Let's go through a few of my favorites:

Doesn't she always look fabulous and SO fashion forward?
Now, most people don't pay much attention to the groom at the wedding. Everyone wants to see the gown, right? Well, here's a little feature of the one-day King of England on the happiest day of his life:

Doesn't he look handsome in the traditional, bright-red military uniform? A classy and very attractive outfit for his big day!
Beauty obviously runs in the Middleton family, because both Kate's mom and sister, Phillippa or "Pippa", looked stunning in their wedding ensembles. Helping the little ones walk into the abbey was only one of Pippa's jobs at the wedding. As Kate's maid of honor, she was the one who was responsible for carrying her sister's train.

Kate's mother also looked classy and sophisticated in her outfit for the wedding.

We all remember (and love) the famous procession that the newlyweds take by carriage, where they wave to all of their adoring fans, as one of the best moments of the wedding day.

I think it's great that the two take the time to ride in the carriage and wave to everyone who is cheering and showing their support for and joy over the marriage.
Well, that pretty much covers the entire wedding. My thanks goes out to all the websites that provided me with the pictures I used in my analysis of this very happy day. My sincerest congratulations to Prince William and Princess Kate, and to the entirety of both of their families. Best of luck to them for a happy and healthy future. Good luck Kate and William; everybody's happy for the both of you! :-)

Now, for anyone out there who can't recall what the faces of England's future King and Queen look like, here is a photo reminder of the happy couple:
